Macdonald Hotels has announced the formation of a joint venture with Albert and Tony Minshall to create a luxury hotel golf and country club on the site of the existing Hill Valley Golf Club in Whitchurch, Shropshire

Golf may receive new Sport England investment
Sport England has rationalised its funding from 75 to 2 investment streams launching £130 million fund for the governing bodies of 10 priority sports including golf. But in order to receive the money the EGU and its partners must produce a business plan setting achievable targets for increased participation and sporting success
