Boavista Golf & Spa Resort, one of the Western Algarve’s premier resorts, has announced an extension to its golf and course maintenance vehicle agreement with Club Car’s longest serving European distributor Golfejardim.

The new agreement, which further solidifies the 15-year relationship, will see Golfejardim supply Boavista Golf & Spa Resort with 60 new Club Car Precedent i3 golf cars.

The resort, which overlooks the bay of Lagos and the Monchique hills, is consistently evolving its technology and equipment, working with market-leading companies and suppliers, such as Golfejardim, in order to provide guests with the highest service standards across the venue.

António Ferreira da Silva, Golf Director at Boavista Golf & Spa Resort, said: “The quality of the vehicles and the high levels of service meant that it was an obvious choice for us to continue working with Club Car and Golfejardim.”

“The new fleet and on-going investment in improving the course and service to our customers is vital to ensure we continue to provide every guest with an unrivalled experience. The addition of the fully connected Visage system, is something that is now demanded by guests at the best resorts and has already proved very popular.”

The Precedent i3, developed by Club Car, the world’s largest manufacturer of small-wheel electric vehicles and Official Supplier to The European Tour, is equipped with the built-in Visage system, with the ‘connected’ technology having been successfully integrated at over 600 courses throughout the world.

The latest version of Club Car’s Precedent golf car offers, as standard, a touch screen that connects the vehicle to the golf operation – including the golf shop and maintenance facility – communicating fleet performance information and diagnostics.

The technology enables operators to receive, in real time, enhanced information on battery status, service notifications and detailed diagnostics, while also enabling golfers to receive overview displays of each hole, electronic scorecards and hole-by-hole information, as well as messages from the golf shop.

José Sabino at Golfejardim, said: “Golfejardim has always aimed to be at the forefront of the golf market and is committed to providing exceptional customer service and offering the high quality, reliable Club Car vehicles has been key to the success of our relationships.

“Our exacting standards perfectly mirror those of Boavista Golf & Spa Resort and we look forward to continuing to work alongside one of Europe’s leading golf venues.”
