Callaway Golf today announces an important restructure of its Swedish sales team, positioning it to take advantage of significant growth opportunities in Northern Europe and further enhance its relationship with its network of Preferred Retail Partners.

Callaway continues to grow its business in Europe, fueled by significant product launches, including the Big Bertha and Big Bertha Alpha Driver and X2 Hot family of products, and sees Sweden, with its near 500 courses and half-a-million registered golfers, as key to its continued global success.

The Swedish team will be headed by 15-year Callaway veteran, Lars Aldskogius, who will report into UK–based Martin Wild, who manages the commercial teams in the UK, Ireland and Northern Europe.

Martin commented: “I am extremely excited at the prospect of working with this new team. The Swedish market is very buoyant at the moment and with our larger, more focused sales force, Callaway is expecting to substantially increase its business in the region over the coming months.

“By increasing the number of people in our team, from four to five, we can enhance the service we offer customers and support a greater number of Fitting Days. To give customers the best experience from our highly-technical, innovative product line we believe custom-fitting is crucial and the growth in our sales and fitting team will allow us to deliver a world-class service.”

Neil Howie, Managing Director of Callaway Golf EMEA, added: “When we restructured our UK commercial team towards the end of 2012 we saw a substantial increase in sales and encouraging levels of positive feedback from our customers. We are using the knowledge gained from this experience to now invest in the Swedish market, an important part of our Northern Europe business.”

Northern Europe Sales Force Structure:

Lars has been with Callaway for over 15 years and will lead the team of Swedish sales representatives.
