“We probably have the hottest course design team in the industry with Paul Dellanzo PGA and lead designer Dr Beatrice Franceschi, PhD and our redesign at Ghala in Oman, originally a sand course, is without doubt in every aspect the Renovation/Re-Design of the Year. No-one has come close in the gulf region to producing a product like this with a challenging budget.
“Business is happily going from strength to strength with new design projects in Italy, Croatia, UK and the gulf region and we have added three new golf clubs in Italy this last month alone via Dellanzo-Valli (Italy) providing management/sales and marketing, PR and events services.
“We have opened an office in the GCC where we have opened courses in Saudi, Qatar, the UAE and Oman. We believe Oman will be the next big golf destination, especially attracting the luxury market segments.
“Our asset management company offers development, hospitality management, marketing, membership planning, clubhouse solutions and dining concepts, golf academies, golf course design, golf and villa landscape design and services, golf business advisory services, project management, agronomy, master planning and urban planning. Developers have appreciated the approach to total solutions and trends rather than focus on status quo thinking. The fact that we promote women to the leading positions in our company we have found to be a huge plus and tangible advantage as we have found great people who have the skill set to succeed, our new marketing, HR, IT, accounting and regional positions are all taken by women including new appointments in the middle east We have been filling positions for Superintendents and Managers and still looking for more.”
“I got into the industry because of my love of the game,” said Paul Dellanzo, Chairman. “We want our players and staff to have fun and our clients to be super successful. We are seeing growth but with the caution that the geo political situation, the increased risk of terrorism, negative oil prices etc. can all contribute to an economy in flux and golf’s health often mirrors the economy. The current economic situation may begin to stutter so we should be cautious but we still envisage steady growth long term.
“We have funding now for new selected projects so our new division GolfInvest is doing due diligence on selected golf projects and hotels. Our company is also diversifying into other design lead projects and food and wine.
