Leading golf footwear innovator, ECCO® Golf, has announced its partnership with the Asian Tour as the Official Footwear Supplier.

As the official sanctioning body for professional golf in Asia, the Asian Tour is responsible for the development of golf across the region, enhancing the careers of its members while remaining committed to upholding the integral values of the game.

The partnership will see ECCO Golf’s 2016 collection receive significant exposure through the Tour’s multiple media platforms, including digital, online and print, as well as direct customer engagement at exclusive Asian Tour events.

Commenting on the announcement, Jesper Thuen, ECCO’s Head of Golf, Asia, said, “We see the Asian Tour as a great platform for us to promote the ECCO Golf brand. This new partnership with the Tour is a great way to extend and grow our existing market reach, and connect with golfers across the whole of Asia.

“The Asian Tour extends into many of the markets we have presence or intend to have presence within, hence this is a strategic partnership with the official sanctioning body for professional golf in Asia. It also gives us a foot in the door, providing us with the opportunity to promote our footwear range throughout the entire region,” continued Thuen.

ECCO Golf joins the Asian Tour’s impressive portfolio of partners and sponsors that includes Fuji Xerox, Hilton Worldwide and Rolex.

“The synergy between ECCO Golf and the Asian Tour will drive both organisations forward as we are a perfect fit. ECCO Golf is a leader in shoemaking, while the Asian Tour has established itself as the region’s premier Tour,” commented Asian Tour Commissioner Kyi Hla Han.

“On behalf of the Asian Tour, I would like to thank ECCO Golf for their commitment and support, and we will work closely with them to establish an effective and viable commercial platform,” continued Han.
