GolfBuddy – the world’s best-selling ‘free to use’ golf GPS system – continued its European-wide sales growth following a successful Golf Europe show in Munich.

Sharing a stand at the show with Green Grass Golf GmbH, its German distributor, GolfBuddy concluded an agreement to become the 2010 preferred golf GPS rangefinder for G6 golf retail group – which operates more than 30 stores in the country.

The Official Handheld GPS Rangefinder of the PGAs of Europe, GolfBuddy also met distributors from other European countries and has several waiting to be interviewed and approved as part of its selection procedure.

John Ennis, General Manager of GolfBuddy in Europe, said today: “This was an excellent show for GolfBuddy, both for sales and for brand exposure. The interest in GolfBuddy from customers and the media was excellent and by sponsoring the bags given to visitors to the show we enjoyed very eye-catching brand awareness.”

More than 4,000 bags were emblazoned with the GolfBuddy logo and handed out, ensuring a dominant presence at the show, which attracted more than 4,000 visitors from 48 countries.

Added John: “We got great feedback from visitors to our stand, especially the fact that we offer good margins on a product that is easy for golfers to use and free to use. Because the golfer doesn’t pay any download fees or annual charges to access thousands of courses from around the world, customers can see the instant appeal. GolfBuddy is a rangefinder that can be used straight from the box and is a hassle-free GPS product for everyone.”

GolfBuddy’s huge course library continues to expand at a significant rate through its huge team of surveyors (both professional golfers and better amateurs) who map courses on foot. All the global courses can be easily downloaded to GolfBuddy units – which have a 20,000 course memory – at no subscription or annual cost.

GolfBuddy has two high-spec GPS rangefinder models, the GolfBuddy Pro and GolfBuddy Tour, and is the only rangefinder to be delivered to golfers with courses from around the globe pre-programmed into its memory, making it instantly usable straight from the box.

Every unit is packed with features including: automatic course and hole recognition, score-tracking for 1,000 rounds, shot distance measurement, customisable target setting and a dynamic green function. Each unit is also multi lingual.
