Huxley Golf gain PGA official supplier status

1.02am 10th December 2008 - Corporate

Huxley Golf, which enjoys an international reputation for producing high quality all-weather surfaces, has put pen to paper on a deal, paving the way to get involved with the PGA’s growing portfolio of national and international branded facilities.

As part of the agreement, the PGA’s property department will promote the Hampshire-based firm’s products to its range of branded golf courses and academies in the UK, Ireland, Spain, Turkey, Cape Verde, Cyprus, China and Russia.

It cements a long-standing relationship between the two parties which dates back more than a decade and includes the installation of a state-of-the-art indoor putting green within the PGA National Training Academy at The Belfry.

Robert Maxfield, PGA property and commercial director, believes the deal will be a significant benefit to PGA-branded facilities worldwide. “We have worked with Huxley Golf since the late 1990s and recognise them as the leader in their field,” he said. “Over that time, the PGA has been greatly impressed with the company’s integrity, high levels of customer service and extensive range of synthetic turf surfaces.

“Huxley all-weather practice greens, golf course tees and practice tees can be found in many well-known and high-profile golf resorts, teaching academies and training centres and are used by numerous PGA members.”

Paul Huxley, a director of Huxley Golf, said the company was honoured to have been selected as the PGA’s official supplier of synthetic turf and practice greens.

“Huxley Golf is a family-owned business that has quality, performance, reliability and service as its cornerstones,” he said. “We continue to give top priority to honest, straightforward dealing, a fact reflected in the high levels of new and repeat business being secured by the company and its growing network of distributors within the UK and further afield.

“Our relationship with the PGA will be built on all of these attributes and we look forward to working ever more closely with the PGA, its members and with PGA-branded facilities around the world.”
