Junior Cobra in time for Christmas

9.00am 26th November 2003 - Corporate

Cobra, the fastest growing golf club brand in the industry, enters the Junior market with two new boxed sets of clubs designed specifically for the younger player. The Cobra SZ/JR features two distinct sizes with age-appropriate shaft flex, clubhead weight and grip size specifications.
“The Cobra SZ Junior sets are lightweight clubs specially designed to fit kids according to their age and size and are built to Cobra’s high performance standards,” said Jeff Harmet, general manager, Cobra. “These golf clubs are designed using the same sophisticated computer-aided design programmes and high quality materials as our adult models. Even the stand bag has the extensive features and eye-catching design found on our adult-sized golf bags.”
Designed to promote high trajectory for longer carry distance and forgiving performance off the tee or from the fairway, the lightweight Cobra SZ Junior sets promote a naturally faster, smoother swing, resulting in longer distance, more confidence and greater enjoyment. All shafts utilise lightweight, high performance composite materials to provide the appropriate weight, torque and flex for each age group. The shaft dimensions are also designed to provide ideal club lengths and grip sizes. The set compositions of the Cobra SZ Junior 6-8 and SZ Junior 9-11 sets are unique, based upon the size of the golfer and performance requirements of each size category.

The sets are attractively merchandised in an eye-catching, colourful Cobra SZ Junior Set box promoting youth and excitement. The Junior sets will be available in the UK in limited numbers in late November for the Christmas rush and in more plentiful supply from January 2004 onwards, with suggested retail prices of £179 for the 9-11 model and £139 for the 6-8 set.
