The Curtis Cup is the female amateur equivalent of the Ryder Cup and takes place in Dun Laoghaire Golf Club, this weekend- June 10 – 12. Cork based Green Lamb is the official clothing supplier to the Great Britain and Ireland team for the event, providing the eight strong team with their entire clothing needs for practise days and match days.

Green Lamb is known for its fashion forward take on women’s golf clothing and marketing director Peter Dwyer says they are very proud to dress Team GB & Ire. “For a long time now we have been associated with the Curtis Cup and Ladies Golf Union but 2016 sees the matches being played on Green Lamb’s home turf in Ireland and for that we’re extra proud to dress the girls. It’s an honour for us and we wish both teams very well for the weekend. Here’s hoping for a home victory!” he said.

The event showcases the very best eight female amateurs from USA v.  the team from Great Britain & Ireland. This is only the second time the event has been held in Ireland, previously in 1996- Killarney Golf & Fishing Club hosted the event where GB&I posted 11½-6½ win.

Green Lamb brand ambassador and supermodel Jodie Kidd has been keen to show her support for Team GB & I too, commenting recently on the team’s practise day clothing Jodie remarked ‘Looking good girls!’
