12.38pm 20th May 2016 - Corporate

keurigInnovative appliance and beverage company Keurig has brewed up a three-year deal to join The PGA Official Supplier programme.

Keurig is a leader in single serve hot beverage systems with a brewer which offers leading coffee brands such as Starbucks® or fine teas from Twinings®, as well as hot chocolate, all freshly brewed from a pod at the touch of a button.

The US-based company, now in the UK and Ireland, which has revolutionised the beverage experience through the power of innovative technology and strategic brand partnerships, will be looking to provide golfers with the perfect cuppa every time – via the PGA Professional, who will have exclusive use of the new Keurig Pro Shop hot drink brewing system.

As the number one single serve coffee maker brand in the US, Keurig is now looking to grow its presence in the UK. Two thirds of UK consumers now like to buy quality coffee and other hot drinks out of home, spending almost £3b. on hot drinks in 2014 according to the Office for National Statistics, reflecting the change in our coffee and tea drinking culture

Steve Stagg for Keurig UK said: “We are delighted to have reached agreement with the PGA and see this as a significant opportunity to build a long term partnership with the PGA and its members.

“This will be a great opportunity for pro shops to expand their offering by bringing great quality drinks to their golfing customers through an easy, no fuss system which serves the perfect drink every time through the unique Keurig® brewing system.

“We know pro shops will soon discover that with Keurig office coffee machines, everyone’s happy.”

Robert Maxfield, deputy chief executive of The PGA, said: “We welcome Keurig to The PGA Official Supplier programme and look forward to working together for many years to come. This is a new relationship with us and I hope that PGA Professionals take advantage of working with Keurig.”

The PGA Official Supplier Programme features a wide-range of industry-leading companies including Mars, Peugeot and Toro.
