When the 62nd annual PGA Merchandise Show opened for business in Orlando, Florida on January 21st this year it was a momentous occasion for bespoke accessory specialist, PRG. For in just its sixth year in the golf business, the Belfast-based company has progressed from newcomer to major player, with easily the busiest stand and largest presence of any UK-based company exhibiting.
The PGA Merchandise Show has long been the place to be in January for anyone in the golf trade, with 40,000 industry professionals, leaders and luminaries joining 1,000 leading companies and attendees from right across the States and 78 countries worldwide at the Orange County Convention Centre in Orlando to see the very latest in golf equipment, apparel, accessories and services.
Record sales throughout 2014 had further strengthened PRG’s influence in one of golf’s key retail sectors, as top-quality, highly desirable bespoke accessories become an ever more important revenue stream for a rapidly growing number of golf clubs and resorts. PRG now leads the way in this sector, with a burgeoning reputation for delivering the levels of quality, service and choice that the best facilities rightly demand and expect. As such, the PGA Merchandise Show represents the ideal platform to showcase PRG’s comprehensive accessory ranges to a global audience of key industry buyers and professionals, also providing the perfect opportunity for the brand to connect and catch up with key UK customers and media, along with its growing team of international distributors, to keep them abreast of what’s coming up.
Sought-after ranges such as 2014’s highly successful Heritage Collection – an ingenious blend of retro style and modern looks – have proved highly instrumental in attracting more retailers to the brand, with more than 60% of the Top 100 courses in the UK & Ireland now stocking a selection of bespoke merchandise from PRG’s extensive product line-up.
PRG’s business model is built around delivering the most innovative bespoke golf accessories with unrivalled customer service, low minimum order levels and competitive pricing throughout the range Clients range from small local golf clubs, through to top-end resorts, retail chains and large corporate companies all looking to supply their customers, members or clients with the perfect memento.
