Satellite GPS superpowers in new partnership

12.15am 31st July 2006 - Corporate

Golfers across the globe can now benefit from ‘SURESHOT’ – a hand held GPS system which measures the exact distance between the tee and the green.
The result of a partnership between two leading satellite GPS superpowers – European GOLF PLUS Ltd and Australian TEE2GREEN TECHNOLOGIES Pty, Ltd – ‘SureShot’ is being praised by golfers worldwide for its colour screen, simple user interface and multiple options.
With ‘SureShot‘, distances can be measured from the tee to the front, centre and back of the green, together with up to fifteen hazards. The specially-designed colour, backlit screen with polarized filter displays distances in either yards or metres. The device is capable of holding up to ten golf courses and can be used on any course worldwide, subject to local rules in accordance with the recent ruling provided by the USGA and the R&A.
Andrew Walters, Golf Plus sales and marketing director, comments, “The synergies within the two companies made this joint enterprise a logical yet exciting development for all those involved. Our combined expertise in manufacturing, distribution and marketing will allow us to dominate the world market in GPS based golf products.”
Sentiments echoed by Simon Webb, cofounder of Tee2Green Technologies, “We are excited about this new partnership, which not only will facilitate our production and worldwide distribution processes, but also now will place us on a truly global scale. We have chosen this means of expansion to meet the rapidly growing demand for SureShot GPS in the U.S. and around the world.
“Courses are available for downloading from www.sureshotgps.com or players can map courses themselves using the ‘SureShot’ GPS. Many golfers, both amateur and professional, already have discovered the exceptional qualities and ease of use which ‘SureShot’ GPS offers.”
