Over 33,000 SkyCaddie fans on the company’s worldwide Facebook and Twitter channels will receive original content celebrating the last 20 years of The Masters, in a 20-day countdown to 2015’s first Major tournament.

Each day, followers will be told a different story from past tournaments, condensed into around 200 words and covering every Masters since Ben Crenshaw’s win in 1995.

The updates will be broadcast on SkyCaddie’s wide range of Facebook and Twitter feeds, covering SkyCaddie and SkyPro in both the UK and the USA, plus on the company’s other global social media feeds including the popular @SkyCaddieSteve Twitter channel, in which golf course mapping expert Steve Winstone updates over 9,000 Followers about where SkyCaddie’s latest professional on-foot course mapping team are that day.

The content is being created by Magic Hour Media, the firm’s UK PR & marketing agency, which manages SkyCaddie’s social media channels on both sides of the Atlantic.

The agency’s Andy Hiseman and golf writer Matt Cooper both produce social media content for the Jackson, Mississippi-based golf technology firm. “As a golf lover there is no more enjoyable writing job than re-visiting past Masters tournaments and telling the story in your own words” said Hiseman. “Our mission this golf season is to create compelling and original daily content for SkyCaddie’s large global social media audience, whether that is from the world of SkyCaddie, its products and users, or from Tour golf which is where we all get our ‘Major’ inspiration to play better”.

Golfers can Search for SkyCaddie and SkyPro on Facebook and Twitter to discover the new Masters content, and can follow Steve Winstone on Twitter to discover which golf courses SkyCaddie has recently re-surveyed in their area.
