PGA Professionals follow the example set by the world’s best players by placing their trust in the superior performance of Titleist equipment at the Titleist & FootJoy PGA Professionals Championship.

The excellence of Titleist equipment was once again underlined at the 2015 Titleist & FootJoy PGA Professionals Championship, as Titleist was the overwhelming favourite amongst the PGA Professionals, who follow the example set by fellow Titleist Brand Ambassadors across worldwide professional tours. Titleist led the way as the field favourite across the majority of equipment categories at Burnham & Berrow Golf Club, further underlining the superior performance of Titleist products and the trust they receive at every level of the game.

The legendary Pro V1 franchise headlined the success for Titleist as the overwhelming golf ball of choice at the tournament, with 112 of the 144-player field choosing to tee it up with a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, eight times the nearest competitor with 14. This mirrors the impressive counts seen every week seen across worldwide professional tours, where 10,285 players have placed their trust in the feel and consistency of a Titleist golf ball so far in 2015, compared to 1,716 for the nearest competitor.

The success of Titleist equipment continued throughout the bags of the PGA Professionals at the season’s flagship event, as the brand topped a host of further equipment counts. Spearheaded by the exceptional distance and forgiveness of the 915 metals, Titleist led the counts for drivers (48), fairways (44) and hybrids (40) at the tournament. More competitors put their trust in the high performance family of Titleist irons, including the AP1, AP2, MB and CB models, with 42 players choosing the flight, feel and forgiveness of Titleist iron sets for their success. Titleist Vokey Design wedges, designed by Masters Craftsman Bob Vokey, again underlined their market leading credentials with 218 models in play, compared to 75 for the nearest competitor. The brand also topped the counts for headwear and bags.

As well as being the choice of the majority of the field at the Titleist & FootJoy PGA Professional Championship, the champion, Paul Hendriksen also trusted the New Pro V1x for his success at the tournament. The Dinnaton PGA Pro fired a final round 72 en route to a 288 victory total and a one stroke victory.

Titleist & FootJoy are new sponsors of the Championship this year and Matthew Johnson, Titleist Brand Director, spoke of his excitement about the new partnership and the alignment with the brand’s popularity at the event. “It’s great to be associated with the PGA and the flagship Championship for Club Professionals. This new partnership just further underlines our long standing commitment and support of PGA Professionals, and to have so many of the competitors choosing to play our products at the event is a testament to the excellence that our products provide. This kind of endorsement from our PGA retail partners is just as important as the support we enjoy on the main professional tours.”
