All Square®, the new social network designed exclusively for golfers, is attracting some of the world’s top golf courses to its growing online platform.

More than 850 courses have already registered on All Square including globally renowned venues in America, Europe and the Middle East. Registration is free and more courses are joining daily, benefiting from enhanced online visibility and increased incremental rounds.

Troon®, the world’s largest golf management company, which is supporting the development of All Square, has registered 130 of its courses in America and Mexico on the network. The company’s portfolio in Europe, the Middle East and Africa – including Abu Dhabi Golf Club, venue of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship and HSBC Golf Business Forum 2014, April 28-30 – is now also being registered on All Square.

Bruce Glasco, Troon Senior Vice President & Managing Director, International Operations, said: “Golfers love to talk about their experiences on the course, and we recognise the influence this has on where they and their golfing friends will play in the future.

“We believe All Square has the potential to become golf’s pre-eminent social network. By talking about and recommending their favourite courses, golfers become influential advocates within their social networks. We see opportunities in increasing Troon’s online visibility, leading to greater customer engagement and, ultimately, increased incremental rounds.”

A recent survey by global golf course supply company Syngenta (Growing Golf in the UK, 2013) revealed 73 per cent of golfers in the UK become aware of a new course by word of mouth and 68 per cent of UK golfers recommend their course to others.

According to Patrick Rahme, CEO and co-founder of All Square, social media is now an important breeding ground for influential peer review, with golfers’ course recommendations amplified to extended social networks.

“All Square enables leading international clubs and resorts to connect with discerning customers who want to play the world’s best golf courses and share their experiences with friends and contacts,” said Patrick Rahme.

“With just one status update or photograph, social media users can reach all their connections, which could be hundreds of people. In golf, it is a digital extension of your clubhouse where all your members and visitors can interact with each other as well as with like-minded friends.

“Golf destinations engaging with social media benefit from increased online visibility, enhanced global awareness among active golfers and, ultimately, increased incremental rounds.”

All Square is currently focussing on registering leading courses in California and Scotland, where it has employed two industry experts, including a Past President of the California Golf Course Owners Association, to grow the network. In Scotland, leading venues Kingsbarns Golf Links and Gleneagles are among the latest courses to register on the platform.
