Troon® has confirmed a partnership with Paradise Palms, which sees the organisation become an integral part of the $550 million redevelopment program which is set to establish the resort as an icon in North Queensland. The fully integrated leisure resort just north of Cairns, Australia has signed a long-term partnership, which will see the industry leading company’s experts build a strategic pathway for the major redevelopment plan, instilling the highest standards of service, course conditioning and processes in the golf property.

“The vision for Paradise Palms has the opportunity to put the resort and destination on the map in terms of regional golf tourism,” commented Bruce Glasco, President Troon International. “As Australia continues to overcome its economic turbulence, embarking on a gradual pathway to growth, industries such as the service and tourism sector provide a strong footing to realise increased revenue potential. Our partnership with the ownership at Paradise Palms presents a powerful dynamic that will allow us to provide insight and expertise to deliver a world-class experience, and also integrate Paradise Palms into the wider tourism industry which is so important to Cairns and the surrounding area.”

Troon has built its reputation on the quality and performance of its global portfolio that includes some of the most successful golf clubs in the world. The organisation provides developers a turnkey service solution, with the comfort of best-practice and best-fit models from golf developments in 31 countries and 38 American states. Located only a few kilometres north of Cairns, nestled between the world-famous Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest, Paradise Palms boasts a unique location against the backdrop of a tropical paradise. Currently ranked as one of Australia’s top-100 courses, Paradise Palms has developed over 25 years of heritage and welcomed iconic Australian players to test themselves over the outstanding layout. With the vision and investment of Darren Halpin and his team, and under the guidance of Troon, it is set to become a centrepiece in Northern Queensland’s real-estate and leisure sector. In conjunction with local businesses and stakeholders, the ownership has developed a masterplan with the ambition of attracting guests and investment into its residential proposition.

“Paradise Palms is a terrific location with a great legacy. It has the blueprint to be one of the top resorts in the nation and we plan on taking considered steps to increase the quality and service standards,” continued Halpin. “Troon has the experience to collaborate with us on the investment program and lay out a clear pathway to creating a stand-out experience that will build our reputation and stimulate interest within our feeder markets.”

Today’s announcement further illustrates Troon’s recent surge in the Australian market, with major developers and investors in golf, real-estate and leisure properties turning to the global leaders. As more investors come to terms with the modern-day economic requirements of golf, Troon’s proposition has attracted increased interest in recent times, with the comfort and security their insight and delivery affords owners.
