1.54pm 3rd July 2015 - Corporate

VPar FootGolf Press imageVPAR will be the official scoring partner for UK FootGolf over the next 2 years, including the 2015 UK FootGolf Open at the East of England HQ in Cambridge.

Established in 2009 and already booming in South America and the US, FootGolf has begun to gain traction in Britain over the past two years with the UK FootGolf Association (UKFGA) being formed in 2012. The sport mixes two of the world’s most popular sports, golf and football with over 25,000 registered players and nearly 125 courses around the UK.

Jeremy Gray, Director of Sales for VPAR said: “We are very excited to be bringing the VPAR live scoring experience to such an innovative and rapidly growing sport. There is great synergy between VPAR and FootGolf as we are both looking to enhance the experience and offering at golf clubs. FootGolf sits brilliantly alongside golf, so we can’t wait to assist and be a part of all their future plans in growing the game.”

Michael O’Connor, UK FootGolf Managing Director and FIFG President said: “We’re delighted to partner with VPAR over the next two years. We have been looking for an event management and scoring solution and have found the perfect product. The growth of FootGolf over the past 12 months has been phenomenal and we needed VPAR to continue to improve the events we manage here in UK and farther afield. The UK Open in August is our flagship event and will feature players from across the world as well as our home-grown talent and we’re sure all competitors will enjoy the benefits VPAR has to offer.”
