Wentworth powers up

12.40am 12th December 2005 - Corporate

In April 2002 Wentworth Club in Surrey became one of the first world class golf destinations to implement Power Tee. This lead has been followed by The Belfry, St Andrews and The Heritage Club in southern Ireland to name but a few.
Wentworth’s initial installation of four machines was soon followed by an order for a further eight machines and these were installed in January 2003.
As time passed and the MK2 Power Tee was launched, the cosmetic and operational benefits of MK2 became clear and Wentworth upgraded their twelve MK1 machines to MK2 in November 2004.
The latest Wentworth driving range development has been the recent installation of a further seven MK2 Power Tees to fully automate the covered bays of the driving range.
Martin Wyeth, managing director of Power Tee said, “It’s impossible to be at Wentworth without knowing that you are somewhere special. Quality and style are intrinsic in all areas of the business. To supply Wentworth is a pleasure, and to see our equipment working in such surroundings is always a happy occasion.”
When asked why Wentworth have fully automated their range, Julian Small, managing director replied, “We aim to give our customers exactly what they want and Power Tee has proven so popular over the years that the full automation of our range was a natural progression for us. We have worked with Power Tee since 2002, the support they have offered has consistently been excellent and I can strongly recommend Power Tee.”
