Kazan's first 9 holes

The first nine holes in Kazan were completed and opened in 2008 by H.E. Rustam Minnikhanov the former Prime Minister and now president of Tatarstan.

The golf course was designed and constructed on a plateau providing breathtaking views over the Volga, Svajia and Sulitsa rivers and the Sviazhk Island with the Troytskaya wooden church built on the personal orders of Ivan the terrible.

The nine hole par 36 course measures 3300 metres from the back tees and gently winds along, the hilly terrain strictly preserving the natural elevations and environment.

The second nine by Peter Harradine are also a par 36 measuring 3350 metres from the back tees and will be even more spectacular than the first nine due to the higher elevations, existing trees, valleys and extraordinary scenery.

A generous land allocation by the developer for the golf course has made it possible to allocate ample areas between the fairways which allows the indigenous vegetation and wild flora to flourish in the rough.

Multiple tees on each hole will allow the good golfer, beginners and ladies to enjoy the course.

The complex boasts several hotels and chalets and is also used as a winter skiing resort due to the many artificial hills and slopes which provide some very interesting runs for winter sports lovers
