Mianyang is a city of over 4 million people situated in the Sichuan province of China about 200 kilometres west of Chengdu. The Chengdu Hongyuan Investment Co. Pacific Coast Design (PCD) has been commissioned to design the golf course and work has commenced on the construction of the first 9 holes.  The site is spectacular and lends itself to many exciting and challenging golf holes with significant elevation changes, water carries and a variety of strategic shot options.  The construction team is working in close association with PCD and building the course at a hole at a time to minimise the construction footprint and preserve much of the natural vegetation.

Grassing has now commenced on some of the early holes and it is hoped that the first 9 holes will be completed and ready for play by the end of 2013.

Construction will continue on the remaining 18 holes with the 27 hole course eventually being completed in 3 loops, each being over 3,700 yards long.
