Sandford Springs to life

9.00am 31st March 2003 - Course Development

Sandford Springs Golf Club, located eight miles north of Basingstoke, boasts a trio of challenging nine hole loops, the Sandford Springs Golf Academy and a well-stocked golf shop with custom fitting services. Now, thanks to the recent completion of a £2 million course development and clubhouse improvement programme, it has the facilities to match the superb golfing challenges that are on offer in this corner of Hampshire.

The clubhouse has been extensively refurbished and extended. The reception area has been upgraded and the new Fairway Suite added. This has been complemented by fresh dà©cor throughout.

Outside, the playing quality of the three nine-hole loops has been improved further with the introduction of a 27-hole drainage and irrigation system allowing for 52 weeks a year of play (no mats or temporary greens) while there is also a new covered eight-bay driving range and a beautifully landscaped putting area.

Owners, The Leaderboard Group, officially re-launched the Club on 28th March. The Leaderboard Group also owns and operates three of England’s other fine parkland courses, Dale Hill, Chart Hills and The Oxfordshire.
