The Abaco Club – an apology

9.10pm 2nd May 2006 - Course Development

http://www.golfbusinessnews.com/news/news.asp?storyid=2915
In an article which we published on 18th April credit for the design of The Abaco Club in the Bahamas, a £150 million golf and sporting retreat created by British entrepreneur Peter de Savary, was given to the design firm of Mackenzie & Ebert Ltd.
Tom Mackenzie has subsequently pointed out that when he worked on the design of this course it was during his time with Donald Steel and Company. It is therefore entirely wrong to say that Abaco is a Mackenzie & Ebert Ltd course and Tom Mackenzie himself has never stated that it is.
Golf Business News.com accepts full responsibility for this error and wishes to apologise to both Tom Mackenzie and to Donald Steel for the embarrassment caused.
