Attendance up 40% at PGA Show Asia

The 3 day PGA Show Asia – 4th China (Beijing) International Golf Expo 2005 earlier this month received the support of 35,000 attendees, which is an increase of 40% as compared to the previous year.
Industry professionals attended from 18 countries namely, Argentina, Australia, Canada, China, France, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Netherlands, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, USA and Vietnam.
There were a total of 162 exhibitors, an increase of 28.6% over the 2004 show with a total of 126 exhibitors including both international and local brands such as Honma, TaylorMade, Adidas, U.S. Kids, Mizuno, Titleist, MacGregor, Winn, Maruman, True Temper, GoldLion, ECCO, Bruin, Wolsey, Sunwik, Akia, Primus, Nickent, TORO, Jacobsen, E-Z-GO, Club Car, Yamaha, and more.
Concurrent with the Show was a two-day seminar about golf development which was a huge success with attendance up 34% as compared to last year’s conference. The seminar was presented by China Golf Association and the Course Management Committee of China Golf Association Leaders.
For the past 3 years, the show has received tremendous support and attention from the golfing industry and various organizations. These organisations included the US Commercial Department, the Irrigation Association, Golf Range Association of America, America Society of Golf Course Architects, Golf Course Builders Association, National Golf Course Owners Association, European Golf Course Owners Association as well as Asian Golf Course Owners Association. The individual associations have provided support through disseminating information to their members and also forming groups to visit the show.
The next PGA Show Asia will be held in China National Agricultural Exhibition Centre, Beijing, which has an exhibition space of approximately 13,00 square metres, on 14th – 16th April 2006.
