8.15am 30th November 2005 - Exhibitions & Conferences

Dublin based Golf Digest Ireland and golf publishers Portside Media have announced a partnership deal under which they will stage the ‘The Golf Show’. The show will take place in the RDS, Ballsbridge, over St. Patrick’s week-end March 16 to 19, 2006.
Golf Digest Ireland is Ireland’s only monthly golf magazine and is the dominant golf magazine in the Irish market. Publishers of the annual Failte Ireland Golf Guide, Portside Media have been major players in the promotion of Irish Golf travel and tourism over the past 15 years.
Announcing advance details of ‘The Golf Show’ Portside’s Paddy McCarthy said the show would signal the start of the 2006 golfing season and the commencement of the build-up to the Ryder Cup in the K Club in September. “What better time,” he said, “for Ireland to showcase its golfing attractions.
“We believe our golf is the best in the world and we would like to see the greatest possible numbers having the opportunity not only to watch the professionals display their skills, but also to enjoy the experience and thrill of participation.” Golf Digest’s Linton Walsh said the enthusiasm and experience of their partnership with Portside will guarantee an extravagant show which will headline all the latest golf equipment, home and overseas holiday destinations and properties. “In short,” he continued “it will be the biggest golf show ever held on these shores. Emphasis will be given to junior golf and interactive equipment, skills testing and tuition will be freely available to visitors throughout the exhibition.”
