The Golf Trade Show, staged at the Harrogate International Centre (HIC), in Yorkshire, on 6-8 October, once more welcomed hundreds of golf industry professionals from across the continent, for three days of retailing, education and networking, underlining its position as the essential place for PGA members to learn and do business.

Combining an exhibition of the industry’s leading manufacturers and suppliers, with a packed programme of educational seminars, the sixth edition of Europe’s biggest golf retail and education event commenced in style with a presentation co-hosted by the 2015 European Solheim Cup Captain, Carin Koch.

In addition, more than 50 major golf brands exhibited their latest supplies and services, providing green grass retailers with a first look at the products available in 2016, as well as offering an ideal opportunity to conduct forward purchasing.

Furthering its support of PGA professionals, the Golf Trade Show also donated £5,000 to the PGA Benevolent Fund. Established at the founding of the association the charity continues to assist members in hardship or distress.

The curtain closed on Golf Trade Show 2015 with the return of the popular Teaching & Coaching Conference, staged in association with Srixon.

Leslie Hepsworth, President of Srixon Sports in the UK and Ireland, said: “While the event itself goes from strength-to-strength, the Golf Trade Show has once again, provided us with an ideal opportunity to introduce our latest equipment to both new and existing customers, including the Srixon GI 155 and 355 models and our new top-secret 40 compression ball.

“Our commitment to the ongoing development of PGA Professionals and the value we place in the Golf Trade Show is underlined by our ongoing commitment to the Teaching & Coaching Conference, which was headlined this year by Srixon Brand Ambassador Martin Hall.”

PGA professionals attending the Teaching & Coaching Conference, received extra bang for their buck as, for the first time ever, two keynote speakers took to the stage – Martin Hall and TPI Co-Founder Dr Greg Rose – with each making two different presentations.

Martin Hall, PGA Master Professional and host of the Golf Channel’s School of Golf, said: “I have been fortunate throughout my career to have received the wisdom and advice of many great coaches. I see it as my responsibility to pass on the knowledge I have acquired throughout my career to the best of my ability and provide PGA professionals with any expertise that can help enhance their coaching businesses.”

John Davis, Golf Trade Show event manager, said: “With another successful show coming to a close, our commitment to bringing the golf industry a bigger and better show in 2016 starts now and we will be listening to the feedback of both the delegates and exhibitors who support the show to ensure we continue to demonstrate the value expected from Europe’s number one trade show.”

The Golf Trade Show returns to the Harrogate International Centre on 11-13 October 2016.
