Visitors to the 2011 Scottish Golf Show will be given the chance to share in Europe’s momentous Ryder Cup victory at Celtic Manor by having their picture taken with the famous trophy, absolutely free of charge.

The silverware will be on display at the ever-popular three-day show, which takes place from April 8-10 at the SECC in Glasgow, and organisers are expecting a huge upsurge in participator interest following last year’s staging of golf’s most prestigious team event.

Of course, the image of Scottish legend and European captain Colin Montgomerie holding aloft the trophy upon clinching the single-point victory over the USA has become an iconic one, and rightly so.

And now, you can recreate a Ryder Cup picture of your own, a once in a lifetime opportunity that is only available for visitors to this year’s show.

Show organiser Tom Lovering commented: “The Ryder Cup is always one of the most watched events in sport and we are delighted to give visitors the chance to have their picture taken with the trophy.

“I expect it to attract huge interest over the weekend and would encourage all visitors to take advantage of it while they can.”

Visitors who are snapped with the trophy will be able to download their photograph free of charge via the Scottish Golf Show’s media partner, bunkered, at www.bunkered.co.uk They can then print it off to display wherever they please.

Visitors who pre-book tickets for this year’s show will be entitled to two free rounds of golf – one at Gleddoch House Hotel and Golf Club and one at The Westerwood Hotel and Golf Resort – and a season pass to the Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles. All this for only £10!
