The average golf retailer is sitting on £16,000 worth of excess stock and what many don’t realise is that excess stock is linked to poor margin and cash flow according to data from Crossover Technologies, creators of XPos, the leading golf retail system, and trusted provider of retail support and training to over 1,000 golf pros worldwide.

The company will showcase its latest developments at this year’s Golf Trade Show (stand C20) showing its XPos technology, including XApp and XCodes, that enable golf pros to get a grip on their stock taking and stock management, one of the largest headaches for most golf retail businesses.

Phil Barnard, Managing Director of Crossover Technologies says: “By using XPos you take control of your stock and enjoy better margins, better cash flow and more profit. This year we introduced XApp that lets you stock take with your smart phone, making stocktakes quicker and easier than ever before. And XCodes, our new industry product database, gives you access to rich data on thousands of leading products that can be imported to your XPos system cutting data entry and improving your stock reporting.

“But XPos is not just a system that you buy and install then leave to run, we want everyone to realize the huge potential of the real time business information it provides.

“In working with golf retailers for over 20 years, we bring expertise that provides you with education, insight and action to ensure you make the most of your system and unlock the real potential of your golf business.”

Katie Fickling and her father, Lee, have been running the pro shop at Bush Hill Golf Park Club in Middlesex since 2004 and having been using Crossover Technologies’ Epos system since May 2015.

She says, “Not only has using XPos cut my time but its also saved us money because I can spend more time being front of house and talking to customers.

“XCodes is really intuitive and easy to use and reduced my previous product creation time by half. Using XApp on my phone means its really easy to scan in certain products and I find I can use it on the go.

“It’s so much more than a stock taking system. Within seconds I can create reports that provide real time information over sales and stock levels.  I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.”
