Another fantastic educational opportunity is on offer for BIGGA members with applications open for the Future Turf Managers Initiative 2015 made possible by Jacobsen.

For your chance to be one of twenty candidates selected for the Future Turf Managers Initiative 2015 follow the process outlined in this link

Launched in 2013, by Jacobsen and BIGGA, the Future Turf Managers Initiative provides opportunities for deputy and assistant greenkeepers to develop the skills required to become a successful manager in an ever changing industry.

FTMI 2015 will take place on 24-26 March 2015, and subjects include communications, budgeting, leadership, team management, CV writing, interview techniques and volunteering.

The ideal candidate will show initiative, dedication to greenkeeping, a genuine interest in the industry and be actively involved in education at both a regional and a national level.

A nominator will be required to validate all applications. This could be a manager, supervisor, regional administrator, club manager or trade representative. A panel from BIGGA and Jacobsen will select the successful delegates and all candidates will be informed by mid February 2015 if they have been successful.

Only BIGGA members can apply, and applications will only be taken via the link above. The closing date is 30 January 2015. If you require any further information, please email BIGGA’s Head of Member Development Sami Strutt on sami@bigga.co.uk
