Golf England campaign

8.30am 28th May 2002 - Management Topics

Golf England has launched a new press advertising campaign to promote the nation’s official golf programme. This is the first advertising campaign by Golf England. It will run from the middle of May and continue for a minimum of three months, focusing on a theme of ‘chipping millions into the game’.

The ads feature a golf ball teed up on a £50 note. The image, along with the strap-line ‘Golf England – a power of good for golf’, underlines Golf England’s aim of positioning itself at the heart of golf club organisation and helping to support the grassroots of the game. The campaign is intended to raise awareness of Golf England and to encourage golf clubs to sign up.

“Golf England has been established to generate funds for the amateur game and the advertisement is a visual demonstration of that message,” said marketing director of Golf England, Dale Clements. “The campaign communicates what Golf England stands for and what we are achieving for English golf.”
