A year to remember for GBD

9.08am 18th June 2010 - Media

The just-published sixth issue of Golf Business Development (GBD) magazine marks the end of the first year for the new bi-monthly title that has earned quick acceptance as a leading forum for golf industry opinion..

GBD is distributed to just under 3,000 of the industry’s leading decision makers in the UK and internationally. The magazine covers the whole golf trade in its editorial scope and has become a vital business resource and the ‘must-read’ golf trade publication.

The six issues of GBD have received consistently strong feedback from buyers, managers, owners, architects, directors of golf and professionals. Advertisers have reported positive reader interest in marketing messages to their industry sectors.

Editor Ben Evans said: “We launched GBD at a bad time for the golf trade last year, right in the midst of the credit crunch and banking panic. The recession will be with us for another year or so, no question, and we believe that valuable business information, educational features and strong opinion on the golf industry are more valuable now than ever. We believe we offer unique, joined-up thinking for the golf trade and we have been delighted with the response to our first year from all in the industry.

“We would like to thank everyone involved with the magazine, readers, contributors and advertisers, for their excellent support. Now we’ve passed our first birthday as a publication, we can plan ahead to make further improvements and provide a dynamic publication for our readers as we move into ‘year two’.”

In issue 6 of GBD, articles include insight into the World Forum of Golf Architects, latest hot product news, tee time booking systems, clubhouse design and ambitious new golf projects like Rockliffe Hall in Northumberland, Pravets in Bulgaria and Knokke-Heist in Belgium. The latest from the conference scene, equipment innovations and features on the work of IFM Sports Marketing Surveys and the Golf Environment Organisation are all included in a full, 60-page issue.

If you have missed out on a copy you can find GBD online at www.golfbusinessdevelopment.com and 8,000 plus readers of Golf Business News.Com can access the magazine via a button on the www.golfbusinessnews.com news pages.

With a superb reader distribution story, great design features and a strong understanding of what the advertiser needs to promote a product/service successfully, its publishers say GBD is now the natural choice for golf companies who are seeking new ways to communicate with their customers.
