Play more, play better is the new motto from Golfshake as they continue to push forward and adapt to the changing digital landscape with a series of updates during 2015 to further strengthen its position in the UK online golf market.

Following impressive growth over the last two years the site continues to see year on year growth of over 30% with site traffic having doubled in the last three years. Over 150,000 golfers now access the golf course section each month and the editorial and tuition sections continue to be the fastest growing areas of the site with visitor numbers doubling in the last 12 months.

To build on the continued success, several key development updates have been rolled out during 2015 which have been focused on providing an improved visitor experience.

Firstly, the golf score tracker saw enhanced reporting and charts added to the industry leading online score tracking service. The updates were focused around providing better data to help golfers identify their strengths and weaknesses on the quest to improve and play better golf.

The site also underwent some updates to the branding as well as design updates to better serve the increasing number of visits on a multitude of platforms and devices including tablets and smart phones.  The new look site is fully responsive for anyone visiting to read news, reviews, watch tuition videos or access the golf course information and reviews.

The new responsive site not only provides a better reading experience for site visitors but Golfshake have also committed to advertisement responsibility and viewability for its partners. To improve the experience for both visitors and advertising partners the new responsive site ensures a responsible approach to how adverts are delivered including new lazy load footer advertising and reduction in ads displayed on some devices.  The updated site also includes new sticky adverts which are only delivered to desktops.

And there is more to come. Over the coming weeks the first stage in a more focused mobile approach will be announced with the arrival of the Golfshake golf score tracking app for iOS devices.

The new look branding, site and layout is already showing success with pages per visit and dwell time increasing on various areas of the site.

In an ever changing landscape and changing consumer habits Golfshake are at the forefront of golf online and continue to push forward in 2015 to bring more relevant functionality and content to golfers who want to play more and play better.
