The Autumn 2015 collection from Abacus Sportswear, Official Supplier to The 2015 European Solheim Cup Team, presents a modern take on classic styles. It blends technical materials with natural fabrics to create sleek outfits that look as good off the course as they do on it.

This season, the Swedish golf and lifestyle clothing brand combines its functional Stretchlite™, StretchDry™ and DryCool™ textiles with natural fibres, such as cashmere, merino and lambs wool, to create smart, intricately crafted garments for the active golfer.

The collection’s designs draw inspiration from off-course trends to add a touch of flair and fashion to Abacus Sportswear’s latest lightweight, breathable and stretchable garments. The men’s range showcases bold, block colours, stylish checks and jacquard knits, while polka dots, floral patterns and violet hues transcend the ladies’ line to put an emphasis on femininity.

Within the men’s collection, the Furillen Wind Stop Pullover is the perfect example of Abacus Sportswear’s technical garments incorporating a number of different fibres. The pullover features a blend of materials, including lambs wool, which adheres to Abacus Sportswear’s three core design principles of creating garments that are breathable, stretchable and lightweight.

The range’s oxford-style polos in cotton piqué continue the tailored fashion theme within the Autumn 2015 collection.

Also new this season are the Robin softshell skorts and trousers that embody Abacus Sportswear’s ‘freedom of motion’ ethos and add a new product range to its high-performance stretch windproof programme with water repellent features. Other additions to the abacus® WINDVENT line are tops with eye-catching quilt detailing, such as the Hisingen Quilted Jacket within the ladies’ range, beautifully crafted to protect against wind, light rain and the cold.

Chris Mattsson, head designer at Abacus Sportswear, said: “The fresh colour palette of the abacus® Autumn 2015 line incorporates the typical natural colours seen throughout the winter months, with plum, rosewood and vanilla combining within the women’s range to deliver very feminine outfits with intricate detailing, while amber injects splashes of colour within the navy blue and khaki tones of the men’s line.”

As with all collections, Abacus Sportswear continues to deliver garments that help golfers focus on their game and allow them to perform, whatever the weather – giving them complete Freedom of Golf.
