Srixon Sports Europe have announced details of their new Z-STAR range of golf balls, which werel officially be unveiled at the 2011 PGA Merchandise Show in Florida on January 27th.

Z-STAR

Srixon Z STAR1

The new Z-STAR golf ball’s proprietary urethane cover is super soft for added spin control, without sacrificing distance. The 324 aerodynamic dimple design, combined with the large Energetic Gradient Growth Core, produces a penetrating ball flight that is unyielding to the wind.

It is a high performance multi layered ball with extremely soft feel, but it is also longer than its predecessor. It is the softer of the two premium products and provides slightly more spin and feel around the green and especially from the rough.

The Z-STAR performs best with Driver swing speeds between 80 and 105 mph.

Z-STAR XV

Srixon Z STAR XV1

This is the ball used by Ryo Ishikawa to shoot the World Record score of 58 whilst winning the Crowns Tournament in Japan in May 2010.

The new Z-STAR XV golf ball’s proprietary urethane cover is currently amongst the thinnest and the softest in the premium market producing an excellent combination of distance and spin. The new four piece ball has a dual Energetic Gradient Growth Core, providing the best distance in a premium offering, with a high flight whilst also maintaining low spin to optimize driver performance.

Between the two Z- STAR balls, the Z-STAR XV is a more distance oriented tour performance ball which returns less spin off the Driver, creating longer more penetrating ball flight. The ball feels slightly firmer, but does not sacrifice feel and control around the greens.

Overall this ball maximises it’s performance when played by golfers who have a driver swing speed greater than 95mph.

Leaders in Visual Performance

With the introduction of Pure White and Tour Yellow in both Z-STAR and Z-STAR XV, Srixon has taken visual performance in golf balls to the next level. With both colour offerings, Srixon makes it easier to follow the ball in flight from any distance and in all types of playing conditions.
