Swing Catalyst App bannerSwing Catalyst– the complete swing analysis system used by instructors, coaches and golfers around the world — has introduced its long-awaited app, which is free to iPhone and iPad users.

The company has been developing and perfecting the app for two years. Previously, only Tour pros had access to using the app. Many pros, including LPGA superstar Suzann Pettersen, has been using the app that allows golfers to capture and analyze their swing from anywhere. Now amateur golfers have access to it, as well.

While there are several swing analysis apps for mobile phones, the Swing Catalyst app is unique in that it has its own ecosystem. That is, it’s tightly connected to the sophisticated Swing Catalyst video analysis software. Golfers can now quickly send their instructor video of their swing, for instant and detailed feedback — all within the app.

Other features include:

“The Swing Catalyst App, already used by many of the best players and coaches in the world, is a sophisticated game improvement tool that fits right into your pocket,” says Tom Christian Lindvag, marketing manager at Swing Catalyst. “You are now able to monitor your improvements over time and receive instant feedback from your coach. Learning is no longer constrained by time and place.”

Initial Force AS is a Norwegian company that was established in 2006, with the goal of developing an easy-to-understand and simple-to-use motion analysis system for golf instruction. Previously this type of data was only available at high-end research facilities, Olympic training centers, and advanced university sports laboratories. The results of the endeavors led to the development of Swing Catalyst, a revolutionary new technological system for golf training that integrates the unique Swing Catalyst 3D Motion and Balance Plates, multiple high-speed cameras and the most-popular ball flight and club tracking devices.
