In a new initiative golfers surfing the Internet are now able to receive instruction from Gleneagles’ professionals without leaving the comfort of their own home or workplace.

Sandy Smith, head professional, and his team have enlisted the help of V1 Software allowing them to teach students around the world via email.

Using the specially designed software, eager to learn golfers will send video footage of their swing via an email attachment to the Gleneagles’ team for analysis. Within three days they will receive a modified version of the attachment, complete with audio and visual instruction of how to improve their swing.

Sandy Smith enthusiastically explained; “It’s an ideal way to keep in touch with many of our existing students who are unable to visit the academy regularly in person but are looking to maintain the coaching relationship.

We’ll be able to be reach a much wider audience than ever before and we hope that our reputation as instructors will attract new students via this service, especially those who live overseas. We’re all very excited about this addition to our teaching programme. “

The team at the Gleneagles Golf Academy is the first in Scotland to introduce Internet golf tuition. To log and learn visit the Gleneagles website www.gleneagles.com/golf
