The Golf Show Group have announced a new look team for 2015 and beyond. The parent company that owns the London and Manchester Golf Shows recently revised its management structure with long term Chairman, Colin Brunton stepping down and Managing Director, Damian Benstead moving on to technology event specialists TechCrunch.
The new management team will consist of David Patel, Owner and CEO taking over the day to day running of the company. Patel will be supported by Sales Director, Simon Jones as they look to grow the business. Other new additions to the team include Lorne Burns and Dylan Williams as Sales Executives.
Patel and Jones will also be assisted by event planner Adrian Curtain of E&M events and as previously announced in Golf Business News, Ian Mullins of MC2 Marketing, completing the line-up for the group.
The new team will be looking to build on the success of moving the show to its new venue at Glow, Bluewater in 2014 and will look to refresh the show by the way of making it much more accessible to both Women and Juniors. There will also be a re-launch of a new fully mobile responsive website in September
In addition to above, The Golf Show Group also recently appointed Albatross Digital Golf to handle its social media activity. Albatross will be working closer with Mullins and Jones as they look to attract new visitors to the show.
Talking at the announcement of their upcoming Media Golf Day at Chart Hills on 13th August, Patel said “The Golf Show Group would like to wish Colin a happy retirement. I would also like to thank Damian for his long service at the company. He has been a fantastic ambassador for the shows and he will be difficult shoes to fill, I wish him all the success in his new role. However, I believe the changes to the team will add new impetuous to the event and we are looking forward to welcoming visitors new and old to the show in November”
