Lynx Golf continues to expand as one of the fastest-growing equipment brands in golf with the key appointment of Murray Tonry as Head of European and Corporate Sales.

Formerly with both Callaway and Srixon, Murray is one of the most experienced and highly-regarded sales professionals in the golf industry. He joins Lynx as the Weybridge, Surrey-based family brand posts another year of strong growth in the UK, with a clear intention of expanding in to Europe.

Said Murray: “I am absolutely delighted to be joining such an iconic brand such as Lynx. I have watched Lynx Golf enjoy sustained sales growth over the past few years, in what has been a challenging market. This has been achieved by delivering on performance products for all ages and abilities in a way that both consumers and retailers can relate to.

“I know that there are some exciting plans ahead for Lynx so I am thrilled to be joining at such an exciting time in the brand’s development.”

In a climate where some larger companies are exiting the golf equipment space, Lynx is continuing to hire superb talent and this highlights the owners’ ambition to restore Lynx as one of the highest flying names in the golf industry. The brand recorded US Open and Masters wins in the 1990s.

Stephanie Zinser, who co-owns Lynx with husband Steve Elford, said: “We are delighted that Murray has joined us. He is a very highly-regarded member of our profession who has seen service at the highest levels and brings to us expertise that is hard to find.

“His personality is a great fit with the enthusiastic and passionate Lynx team that continues to grow. His, and other appointments yet to be announced, come as a result of the strong growth we have seen in our client base which continues to expand despite a tough market.

“We want to thank all professionals and retailers who have taken Lynx on board, as the huge support we have received has been invaluable in developing what we hope will become the best British brand in golf.”

With over 650 active accounts, Lynx now boasts three permanent Demo Day staff available for both stockists and non-stockists, and they remain one of the most forward-thinking companies in golf.

Lynx is dedicated to supporting ‘green grass’ Pro shop business and to offering exceptional equipment for use by golfers at all skill levels.
