The recently opened par-72 signature golf course at Saadiyat Beach Golf Club – designed by golfing legend Gary Player, has appointed Ray Manulat as its new General Manager in an effort to further establish itself as the region’s most unique golfing proposition.
With nearly 20 years of experience in golf management and a 10-year Troon Golf veteran, Manulat is a welcome addition to the team at Saadiyat Beach. The knowledgeable Manalut has previously held the position of General Manager at both the US$ 3 billion 18-hole Alpensia 700 Resort, and 27-hole Robert Trent Jones Jr designed course at Alpensia Golf & Country Club, Korea.
Now tasked with promoting the Arabian Gulf’s first beachfront golf course as one of the foremost golfing destinations in the world, Manulat commented, “My experience on a project of this size puts me in ‘familiar territory’ having previously held similar positions for Troon Golf. I’m excited by the club’s involvement in the ambitious Saadiyat Island project being developed by the Tourism Development Investment Company (TDIC),”

No stranger to the region, Manulat had previous involvement with Troon Golf when assisting the set-up and opening of The Montgomerie, Dubai’s Championship golf course designed by Ryder Cup Captain Colin Montgomerie.
