South America comes to Southport

7.18am 30th April 2008 - People

It will be carnival time, Rio style, for this year’s Open Party when the golf industry gathers on Southport’s stunning pier on Wednesday 16th July.

All the music and colour of a Rio Carnival will be the theme with the main sponsor, the Brazilian Golf Promotion Bureau, bringing those Rio sounds and exotic South American dancers to the event.

Other sponsors are Golf Monthly, IAGTO and Pro Shop Europe who once again give their support to what has become the hot ticket at the Open for the movers and shakers of the golf business.

More entertainment will be provided by the unstoppable Paul Dobie whose live performances and fantastic repertoire is guaranteed to keep the party rocking.

The fun starts at 8pm until midnight and tickets are priced at £45 to include full buffet supper, fizz, wine and beer.

Organiser Jackie Wurr said, “Don’t miss the golf industry party of the year. It will be a lively and colourful evening of great company, fantastic live music, good food and plenty to drink.”
