As it gears up for more growth in its trade sales performance, British trolley manufacturer Stewart Golf has appointed Robert Hardie as its first UK Sales Manager with immediate effect.

CEO Mark Stewart said, “Robert’s appointment is a signal of our intention to build our trade sales in the UK. Since the launch of the Z Series push trolley in 2010, the trade have been looking to us in increasing numbers.

“A key part of Robert’s new role will be to build a sales team focused on supporting existing and new trade customers.”

After working with Stewart Golf as a Consultant since mid-2011, Robert has now joined the full-time staff of the premium brand. He previously spent 22 years in the media, and was Content Strategy Director for Northcliffe Media, part of the Daily Mail and General Trust, before moving into the golf industry.

Robert said: “My involvement with Stewart Golf actually goes right back to the launch of the X-1 in 2003 as I was one of the first customers – my trolley was Serial Number 007! – and working full-time for the company enables me to combine my love of golf with my love of our products at the same time as helping existing and new customers build their businesses by becoming Stewart Golf stockists.

Mark Stewart added, “Our growth strategy is all about working with the right people to build a solid network of top quality retailers, Robert has already proved he has what it takes to deliver that.”
