Troon Golf Appointments at European Venues

Troon Golf is delighted to announce several key appointments to meet the sustained demand for its market leading and award winning service in Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA). Following the unveiling of key additions in the Middle East and Africa, Troon Golf is delighted to announce further senior appointments to some of its leading venues across Europe.

Calle Carlsson has been appointed General Manager at Lumine Golf Club, bringing 16

years of experience in golf operations to one of the most comprehensive golf facilities in Spain. Previously the President of the Egyptian PGA, a Director of Golf and Head Professional, Calle also spent time as a tournament professional, racking up over 20 professional wins, and appearances on the European Challenge Tour. In his most recent position as Director of Golf, the Swedish native was responsible for golf operations at a European Tour venue, including the management of 180 employees. With his unrivalled knowledge of the golfing landscape, Carlsson will be a valuable addition to the team at Lumine Golf Club, outside Barcelona.

Peter Holland, a member of the PGA, has been appointed Director of Golf at Agalarov Estates, Russia. Peter started his career with Troon in 2004 at The Academy by Troon Golf at The Montgomerie Course in Dubai, before moving Barolo, Italy and Monte Rei, Portugal. Prior to joining Agalarov in 2010, Peter was an instructor at the Butch Harmon School of Golf at The Els Club in Dubai, and as a dedicated and long term member of the Troon team, Peter is well-equipped to establish Agalarov as the leading golf resort in Russia and Eastern Europe. Progressing to superintendent at Agalarov Estates is Sean Kinsley, who has been promoted to the position after two years serving in an assistant’s role.

Philip Henderson, has joined the brand-new Astbury Hall in Shropshire, England, as Director of Golf. A fully qualified PGA Professional, Philip has worked with Troon Golf for over five years at some of the world’s leading golf resorts, including WGC World Golf Championship host venue The Grove, London, Oceânico Golf in Portugal, The Els Club, Dubai, and The Allegria Golf Club in Egypt. With a broad knowledge of the golfing landscape, Philip will implement strategies to establish Astbury Hall as one of the foremost golf courses in the UK.
