American Golf (UK) have taken the number of operations under their control in the United Kingdom to 19 after acquiring Abbotsley Golf & Country Club in Cambridgeshire and Oak Park Golf Club in Surrey on 25-year leases.

Oak Park is a 27-hole complex which started as a nine-hole course in 1984 while Abbotsley, owned by former Ladies British Open winner Vivien Saunders OBE, comprises 45 holes, a floodlit driving range, four squash courts and a health and fitness suite. It also has a hotel, and American Golf (UK) managing director Geary Leathers said the company planned to increase the number of rooms from 17 to 45.

American Golf (UK) have also opened the new, Peter Alliss-designed Traditions course at Pyrford in Surrey.
