Situated in the High Weald of Kent, Chart Hills is an award winning 18-hole golf course and clubhouse that sits on a 200-acre estate, complete with Oak woodland, lakes and the longest bunker in Europe, dubbed ‘The Anaconda’.

Sir Nick Faldo designed Chart Hills in 1993 and the course has matured in to one of the finest in the South of England. It has been awarded a place in the ‘Rolex Top 1000 Courses in the World’.

Old Thorns Hotel Group recently completed takeovers of Lythe Hill in Haslemere, Tracy Park in Bath and Castlemartyr, the luxury 5-star resort in County Cork, Ireland in less than one year. Adding to its flagship Old Thorns resort based in Liphook, Hampshire.

Commenting on the latest acquisition, Neil Drinkwater, Business Development Manager of the hotel group, said: “The group is ambitious and the latest acquisition is a reflection of the company’s continued growth in the hospitality and leisure sector.

“The golf club is a renowned property, known all over the world, that offers stunning golfing facilities. We are going to build on that and make Chart Hills an even stronger destination.”

Moving forward Chart Hills and Old Thorns Group will work closely with each other to serve their guests and members and continue promoting the best golfing experiences.
