Eléa Estate in Cyprus, the luxury golf, leisure and residential development near Paphos, featuring a Sir Nick Faldo designed golf course, has been awarded two important accolades by OPP (Overseas Property Professional), the bible of the international residential real estate industry.

In its annual OPP Awards, this year judged by a 50-strong panel of industry leaders from around the world, Eléa Estate collected two prestigious titles, winning Gold in the ‘Best Luxury Developer’ category and Bronze for ‘Best European Developer’.

The annual OPP Awards celebrate the best developers, estate agents and associated companies working in the global cross border residential property industry and are recognised as a benchmark of excellence and best practice.

Commenting on winning two significant awards, Richard Browning, Resort General Manager at Eléa Estate, said: “With phase one construction well underway it is hugely encouraging that OPP, and its panel of influential judges across the globe, has highlighted Eléa Estate’s property development as a beacon of success in the eastern Mediterranean.

“Building on our strong business created around the Sir Nick Faldo-designed 18-hole golf course, which opened in October 2010, we have the confidence and potential buyer interest, to progress with our residences plan which will ultimately see the creation of an exclusive community, within reach of the many leisure amenities western Cyprus has to offer.”

Eléa Estate’s phase one properties are sited at one of the most prestigious locations on the development, close to the 13th and 14th tees of Eléa Golf Club, and will benefit from panoramic views of both the golf course and the Mediterranean Sea. On completion, the 300 unit development will comprise luxury four and five-bedroom golf-fronted villas and two and three-bedroom apartments. Prices start at €220,000 rising to €2.4m.

Richard added: “We strive to deliver the utmost standards of quality and service at Eléa Estate and I am proud the international property industry has recognised our efforts. These awards signal to the world we are well positioned to satisfy every possible requirement of golfers and home owners inCyprusand they reflect the outstanding work of both our team and our carefully chosen partners.”

Eléa Estate is being developed by S. Z. Eliades Leisure, a consortium of five shareholders – The Eliades Group, CCA, GCC, The Louis Group and Demetra Investments – that collectively has vast experience in construction, hotel and leisure resort management in Cyprus, Europe and the Middle East.

Since opening, Eléa Estate has been awarded further accolades, including ‘Best Golf Development in Europe 2011’ and ‘Best Leisure Development in Europe 2011’, at the International Property Awards. The golf course has also been listed in the ‘Top 10 new international golf courses of 2010’ by Golf Magazine, USA; Recognised as ‘one of the world’s most exciting new courses’ by Golf World Magazine and crowned ‘No.1 golf course in Cyprus’ by ratings website, top100golfcourses.co.uk
