Centurion Club has announced Paige Spiranac as the newest member of the club’s team of attached professionals.

The 23-year-old American, who turned professional in the summer of 2015, is seen as one of the bright lights of women’s golf, connecting fans to the game through her progress on the course and her engagement on social media.

Paige will make Centurion her base whenever she’s in Europe and will represent the club when she competes, with the club’s crest taking a prominent position on her bag.

The Colorado native was a graduate of the San Diego State University women’s golf team, which is where she was propelled to prominence when her golf team’s trick shot videos went viral, receiving more than two million hits. Having joined Instagram in May 2015, she’s already notched up almost 700,000 ‘Instafans’ and has become the most keenly followed female golfer in the world.

“We’re delighted that Paige will be helping promote Centurion to the world and using us as her European base,” said Scott Evans, managing director, Centurion Club. “She’s one to look out for in the future and the way she connects with her fan base is superb.  More girls are starting to play golf and it’s thanks to professionals like Paige who inspire them.”

“I am excited to represent Centurion Club and have the opportunity to use its superb facilities when I’m in Europe. It was clear to me when I met the Centurion team that they are passionate about what they do, so, for me it’s a perfect fit.”

Paige secured her maiden victory as a professional on 1st June playing at Orange Tree Golf Resort on the US based Cactus Tour, shooting a 68 in the final round and winning the subsequent playoff. She will continue to play on the Cactus Tour this season and will also compete at other events across the globe in 2016. Her ultimate aim is to achieve LPGA playing privileges for the 2017 season.

Located in leafy Hertfordshire, and just a short drive from central London, Centurion Club is one of Europe’s finest private clubs, offering a complete, members’ only luxury golfing experience whilst remaining refreshingly convivial and relaxed.

The 18-hole championship course is fun for golfers of all abilities, with its forward tees offering a playable 6,555 yards, while the championship yardage of 7,195 yards ensures the par-72 layout offers a serious test for top players. Prepared to tournament specifications, it offers all-year-round playability, with some of the best putting surfaces to be found anywhere in the country.
