Clubs have Wales Open triple incentive

8.30am 26th June 2002 - Sponsorship & Events

Golf clubs throughout the UK have a triple incentive to book tickets for this summer’s Celtic Manor Resort Wales Open – massive reductions, free golf and a chance to go to the 2002 Ryder Cup.

As well as savings of more than £1,000 on purchases of 100 tickets, participating golf clubs will get free rounds of golf on the Wales Open and Ryder Cup 2010 course and an entry in a draw to win tickets to this year’s Ryder Cup at The Belfry.

“To celebrate the success of Wales hosting the Ryder Cup for the first time, we’ve decided to offer two special packages which are available only to clubs,” said Andy Stanton, Celtic Manor Resort Wales Open Tournament Chairman.

“The clubs will get fantastic value for money, with Wales Open tickets at less than a third of the price, up to four four-balls on the Wentwood Hills course and the opportunity to be among the spectators at golf’s greatest team event.”

Around 3,000 golf clubs across the British Isles have been invited to apply for the two special packages available. From each booking, £25 will be given to the Golf Foundation. Further information is available from the Wales Open Tournament Office on 01633 410 216.
