The Faldo Series will return to the Kingdom of Thailand for the fourth edition of its Thailand Championship on February 18-19, 2012 at Blue Sapphire Golf and Resort in Kanchanaburi.  Flood damage has forced organisers to announce a new date and venue to ensure that the Series can still go ahead and bring opportunity to Thailand’s top young golfers.

The field for the Thailand event, which is open to all nationalities, will be divided into five age categories, three for boys (Under 21, Under 18 and Under 16) and two for girls (Under 21 and Under 16).  The winners of each division over 36 holes at Blue Sapphire, located 100 kilometres fromBangkok, will qualify for the Faldo Series Asia Grand Final inChina, won byThailand’s Nakarin Ratanakul in 2007.

The sixth Grand Final, a World Amateur Golf Ranking event, will be hosted by six-time Major winner Sir Nick Faldo at Mission Hills Golf Club in Shenzhen on March 14-16, 2012.
