The Faldo Series continues to bring opportunity to talented golfers and beginners alike with grass-roots activities taking place at several tournaments around the world.
More than 40 local school children attended the recent Faldo Series UK Championship at Trentham Golf Club inStaffordshire,England. In conjunction with The R&A and the Golf Foundation, the children enjoyed several “Tri-Golf” games with guidance from the Series competitors.
“Creating access to golf is a big focus for the Faldo Series and just as important as helping to nurture talented golfers,” said Sir Nick Faldo. “I thank Trentham, The R&A and the Golf Foundation for their support in our recentUKactivities. I also thank the competitors for getting involved and learning to give something back.”
“The day at Trentham was a great success and something I know the Faldo Series are building on at other events in theUKand overseas,” commented The R&A’s Assistant Director of Golf Development, Alison White “Richard Minton and Ashley Salt did a great job in getting the children together. It was also pleasing to see the competitors take part as they are the role models for the next generation.”
