The 60th anniversary edition of the BMW PGA Championship reached a suitably spectacular climax last month as Northern Ireland’s Rory McIlroy came from behind to capture the title at Wentworth Club for the first time.

The former World Number One and two-time Major Champion endorsed his status as one of the biggest stars in global golf as he recovered from a seven shot deficit after three rounds to defeat Ireland’s Shane Lowry, twice winner Luke Donald and Thomas Björn in a thrilling finale over the sun-drenched West Course.

Now, you can witness the start of the seventh decade for The European Tour’s flagship event from May 19-24, 2015 at this year’s prices, with substantial reduced rates for anyone purchasing tickets before Christmas.

The BMW PGA Championship offers six days of high quality entertainment, including Official  Practice Day, Celebrity Pro-Am and four rounds of compelling competition  – for the equivalent of just over £10 a day if season tickets, priced £70, are purchased before Christmas 2014.

The pre-event price rises to £80 after Christmas and £90 on the gate. Concession season tickets start at £45, rising to £55 and £65.

As ever, the action really gathers pace over the final two rounds on Saturday and Sunday, when the successor to McIlroy will be revealed, and a special Adult Weekend pass starts at £60 pre-Christmas, increasing to £70 and £80 (concessions £30, £40 and £50).

Day ticket prices for Thursday and Friday are pegged at £30, £35 and £40 (concessions £15, £20, £25).

Saturday is priced at £35, £40 and £45 (concessions £20, £25, £30) and Sunday, when the drama reaches a climax on the West Course, at £40, £45 and £50 (concessions £25, £30, £35).

On Tuesday May 19 in 2015 – the first Official Practice Day – ticket prices are also held at 2014 levels of £5, £7 and £10 on the gate with no concessions.

Wednesday May 20 will once again bring together stars of stage, screen, sport and entertainment in the exciting Celebrity Pro-Am Day (£10 pre-Christmas; £12 pre-event and £15 on the gate), where the public will be able to mingle with the worlds of golf and celebrity. Details of participants in this enjoyable precursor to the main event will be published nearer the day on www.europeantour.com
