European Tour Properties, the network of world-class golf venues, celebrated a stellar performance at the World Golf Awards, with four member venues picking up major international accolades.
Terre Blanche Hotel Spa Golf Resort, the five-star resort in Provence, France, and venue of the European Senior Tour’s French Riviera Masters, was voted Europe’s Best Golf Hotel.
Spanish Open venue PGA Catalunya Resort, which last month was named IAGTO European Golf Resort of the Year and which this week hosts the European Tour Final Qualifying Stage, was voted Spain’s Best Golf Course, while Linna Golf was named Finland’s Best Golf Course.
Meanwhile, Quinta do Lago, Portugal, which now boasts three championship golf courses, was a multiple award winner. The Algarve resort’s radically revamped North Course – designed by Beau Welling in association with 2014 European Ryder Cup Captain Paul McGinley – won the awards for Europe’s Best New Golf Course, while the South Course was recognised as Portugal’s Best Golf Course.

The inaugural World Golf Awards – part of the World Travel Awards, which is celebrating its 21st anniversary – were voted for by both golf travel industry professionals and the public. The World Golf Awards Ceremony took place at the Conrad Algarve on Saturday November 15, 2014.
